Description
When I was much younger I moved to Perth in Australia where my boyfriend at the time (now my husband) grew up. We were walking along the Swan River and we saw some black swans. As a joke he told me that you could only find black swans in Perth and I believed him. It was not until we had moved back to the east coast that I realised that black swans are common along the south-east and south-west of Australia. This image of two black swans and their cygnets was taken at Lake Wendouree in Ballarat, Australia.

Beautiful capture Yolanda. Love our black swans although they can be very aggressive. I was sitting having lunch at Jackadder Lake in Perth one day when one quickly came right up to me and snatched a sandwich right out of my hand. Lunch was a bit sparse that day.

Thanks Elaine. That is so funny. You're right, they can be aggressive, particularly if they have their babies with them. At least you have a story to tell. Have a good day.
