Description
This image is a result of some photo manipulation to my image entitled "Lake Daylesford". That image has blue skies and is the summer version. This is the winter version.
Daylesford in Victoria, Australia is one of my favourite places but has the most tourists of any place in Victoria. Lake Daylesford is a man-made lake and gold was first discovered in the 1850s in Daylesford where the lake is now. Thousands of immigrants came to Daylesford in the hope of getting rich. Many descendants still live in the area.
Daylesford is a very arty place and there are many galleries selling art as well as The Convent Gallery which used to be a convent but has been converted into an art gallery with beautiful gardens. There are also many boutique shops, restaurants and cafes in Daylesford. Other attractions include the Wombat Hill Botanical Gardens and many mineral springs. There are over 100 businesses based around well-being including spas, acupuncture, massages and much more. It really is a beautiful part of Australia with many photo opportunities.
